We don't grade cards — we describe them
Ridge & Relic is not a grading service and we don't assign grades of our own. What you'll find here is a mix of two things: raw cards described honestly, and slabs already graded and encapsulated by a third-party service.
Graded cards
When a card is slabbed, the grading company and the grade are in the listing title, and the photos show the label and cert number so you can verify it yourself on the grader's site before you buy. We sell the slab as it comes to us — we don't crack, reholder, or resubmit, and we can't guarantee how a card would fare on a crossover or review.
Raw cards
Raw means ungraded, not unexamined. Every raw card gets checked by hand under bright light. Unless the listing says otherwise, expect:
- Corners: sharp, no rounding or dings
- Edges: clean, no chipping
- Surface: no scratches, dents or noticeable print lines
- Centering: reasonable for the set, not a guarantee of 50/50
Cards with any flaw are listed with the flaw named and priced accordingly.
What "near mint or better" means here
On a raw card it's our description, not a grade. If you're buying to submit the card yourself, judge from the photos and ask for more angles — we can't predict what a grader will say.
Chrome and refractor cards
Factory curl and light print lines are common on Chrome and Finest. We don't mark these down unless they're severe.
Photos
Product photos are the actual card or slab, not stock images. Lighting can hide or exaggerate surface detail, so ask if you want another look.
